Cryptogram
This month, we continue with the Vigenere.
As I did last month, I have included a short
essay explaining some of the ways to break the Vigenere, highlighting
the popular Kasiski method, which is effective not only on the Vigenere,
but on other periodic ciphers (some of which we'll take up in subsequent
months).
Neglect
the "crib"!
In the Vigenere cryptogram, I've deliberately constructed both the
message and the keyword to be accessible by cribs. These are useful, as
confirmed by several messages by solvers via private channel indicating
they have broken ciphers almost entirely by guessing the right crib.
